As a modern and comprehensive medical technical department integrating blood storage and supply management, transfusion testing, clinical services, teaching, and scientific research, the Blood Transfusion Department of Beijing Ditan Hospital is equipped with advanced facilities including a full-range automated blood type identification and cross-matching analysis platform. It provides precise transfusion compatibility testing and immune-hematological diagnostic services.

Currently, the Department has established a comprehensive process management system covering blood storage/supply, transfusion compatibility testing, clinical blood use guidance, and blood therapy. Building on the platform of the National Center for Infectious Disease (Beijing) and the disciplinary strengths of Beijing Ditan Hospital, the Department continuously promotes disciplinary development and talent cultivation. Over the past five years, it has published over 30 SCI and Chinese core journal articles, spearheaded the formulation of three group standards, participated in formulating 11 industry standards, and obtained one national utility model patent. Additionally, the Department serves as an internship base for the Laboratory Medicine major of Yanjing Medical College, Capital Medical University.
