Since the hospital's founding, the Nursing Department has consistently advanced professional excellence in clinical practice, quality management, education, and research. Building on this foundation, they have implemented innovative competency-based vertical management systems to enhance leadership while standardizing care quality and optimizing workflows across all service areas.

The patient-centered approach prioritizes safety, specialized skills development, and continuous service improvement, with particular expertise in infectious disease care. The department has established a comprehensive training model that prepares nurses for both routine and emergency scenarios. Inspired by Florence Nightingale Award recipients Chen Zheng (40th) and Wang Kerong (44th), they have cultivated a compassionate, highly skilled team that advances national standards in infectious disease nursing.

The department has earned Beijing High-Level Talent awards and leads multiple research initiatives supported by municipal and national funding programs. As the chair institution of the Chinese Nursing Association's Infectious Disease Nursing Committee, the team holds over 60 leadership positions in professional organizations. They serve as the first accredited Infectious Disease Specialist Nurse Training Base in China and provide clinical instruction for nursing programs at institutions including Capital Medical University and health vocational colleges. The department has authored or contributed to more than 20 professional medical publications and secured over 60 utility model patents.
